2026 programme

For its upcoming edition at Hotel La Réserve, Knokke Art Fair builds on more than 50 years of expertise to present a carefully curated encounter between modern masters, post-war icons and contemporary artistic voices. Through the presence of renowned international art dealers, collectors will discover works by artists who fundamentally shaped the artistic landscape of the twentieth century.

Among them, Andy Warhol remains one of the defining figures of Pop Art, transforming everyday imagery into cultural icons and redefining the relationship between art, celebrity and consumer culture. Alongside him, works by André Masson reveal the poetic intensity and freedom of Surrealism, while Kees van Dongen captures the elegance and vibrancy of early modern portraiture through his unmistakable use of colour and expression. The conceptual and intellectual dimension of post-war Italian art is represented through Alighiero Boetti, whose visionary body of work continues to fascinate museums and collectors worldwide.

marino marini

Few sculptors captured the fragile balance between strength and vulnerability as powerfully as Marino Marini. Internationally celebrated for his iconic equestrian sculptures, Marini developed a visual language in which horse and rider become symbols of tension, instability and the human condition itself. His sculptural work, both monumental and deeply poetic, occupies a central place within twentieth-century modernism and continues to resonate strongly with collectors worldwide.
These works will be presented by M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne, alongside works by Giacomo Manzù and André Masson, offering collectors a remarkable encounter between sculpture, modernism and poetic expression.

alighiero boetti

Conceptual, intellectual and visionary, Alighiero Boetti remains one of the most influential figures of post-war Italian art. Through systems, language, embroidery and cartography, Boetti questioned notions of order, time and authorship. His work, both poetic and conceptual, continues to attract major international attention from collectors, curators and museums alike. Presented by Galleria Immaginaria, these works will be shown alongside pieces by Kees van Dongen, Hermann Nitsch and Andy Warhol, creating a compelling dialogue between modern, post-war and contemporary artistic movements.

otohito moriyasu

The work of Otohito Moriyasu occupies a unique position between sculpture, craftsmanship and poetic contemplation. Working with glass, metal and light, Moriyasu creates delicate compositions that evoke memory, solitude and the passage of time. His sculptures appear fragile at first glance, yet reveal remarkable depth and complexity through their subtle interplay of transparency, reflection and form. Presented by SYSTEMA GALLERY, these works embody a distinctly Japanese sensitivity in which material, silence and imagination converge. The result is a sculptural universe that invites reflection and rewards prolonged observation.

hermann nitsch

The work of Hermann Nitsch occupies a radical and uncompromising position within post-war European art. As one of the central figures of Viennese Actionism, Nitsch explored ritual, emotion and human instinct through monumental and deeply expressive works. His powerful painterly compositions continue to fascinate collectors and institutions for their intensity, physicality and spiritual dimension.

hans hartung

One of the great pioneers of lyrical abstraction, Hans Hartung developed an instantly recognisable visual language based on gesture, rhythm and energy. His powerful compositions, characterised by sweeping lines and dynamic structures, played a fundamental role in the development of European abstract painting after the Second World War.

andy warhol

More than any other artist of his generation, Andy Warhol transformed popular culture into fine art.
By elevating celebrities, advertising imagery and everyday consumer products into artistic subjects, Warhol fundamentally redefined the relationship between art, media and society. Decades later, his work remains one of the most recognisable and influential artistic legacies of the twentieth century.

Alongside modern and contemporary art, Knokke Art Fair also embraces collectible objects and artistic craftsmanship. The refined presentation of traditional Japanese Kokeshi objects introduces visitors to a universe where minimalism, craftsmanship and collectibility converge. Originally created as handcrafted wooden dolls, Kokeshi objects today occupy a unique place between folk art, sculpture and collectible design.

claude venard

The paintings of Claude Venard are immediately recognisable through their rich textures, expressive colour palette and sculptural use of paint. Balancing figuration and abstraction, Venard created a deeply personal visual language that brought renewed vitality to post-war French painting and continues to appeal to collectors seeking expressive modern European art.

Founded in 1877, Schroeder has embodied exceptional craftsmanship, refinement and savoir-faire for almost 150 years. Over the generations, the house has built a reputation for timeless jewellery creations that combine tradition, rarity and elegance.
